Timbuk2 Euro Tote

eurotote.jpgThose closest to me know that I suffer from bag addiction — a condition characterized by a never-ending search for just the right bag, for just the right occasion. My latest fix arrived today in the mail (thanks, Mom!) — a Timbuk2 Euro Tote.

This is the bag (no, it’s not a purse…) that will become my daily companion, and which will contain the stuff I like to have with me at all times:

  • Wallet.
  • Treo (PDA/phone).
  • Keys.
  • Sunglasses.
  • iPod Shuffle (and earbuds).
  • USB memory stick (sometimes I get amnesia).
  • Pen.
  • Moleskin 9×14cm notebook.
  • Kleenexes.

Including all the above, there’s still enough room for the following stuff that I’ll occasionally take along:

  • Book (small book).
  • Canon PowerShot S500 digital camera, and spare battery.
  • A diaper or two.

So far, after one day’s use, I’ve got the feeling me and the Euro Tote are going to get along just fine. The only thing I don’t like, is that inside it’s got a soft-lined phone pocket. I wish bag makers wouldn’t include those, because it’s a waste of space for those with phones that don’t fit.

Dude. It’s a purse. It’s a man purse. Particularly in that flashy orange.

Out of curiosity, since when did you start wearing diapers again?

As a carrier of a man purse (only while I am overseas) I encourage you to get in touch with this side of yourself, Matt. I too have a baggage addiction as my 20 year purchase record from L.L. Bean will prove. Can’t beat that lifetime guarentee. I get tired of it and send it back and they give me another one. I love customer service!

So, tote away bro! It’s kinda freeing!

Nice Photo. I ordered one of these as well for my commute to Washington, DC. I hope it fits my Tungsten T3, Gameboy SP, Rio Carbon, Nokia, Bicycling Magazine, Wallet, and lunch. No diapers on this trip. I’m leaving those at home. I’ve got an Eagle Creek bag for that. The only thing I’m suspicious of is the lunch–don’t know if it’ll hold a frozen entree, yogurt, crackers, apple, and dessert.

I have one of these myself and really enjoy it. In fact, I enjoyed it so much that I have both the small and medium in black. Gotta have the right size for the right occasion :)

That is a very nice bag. I use the Ellington Europa Field bag.
